Short answers to the questions people are most likely to have before they commit several hours of character continuity to a browser tab, which is apparently a completely normal thing civilization now does.
Loriginary is a local-first character and universe production workspace. One canonical character record can feed character development, visual references, Prompt Studio, Story Studio, RPG builds and conversion, cards, projects, collections, galleries, continuity checks, and export workflows.
Heroes, villains, supporting characters, creatures, RPG characters, science-fiction and fantasy characters, original-universe characters, civilians, alternate forms, variants, and other story or game identities can share the same underlying character system.
No. Guided View keeps the essentials visible first. Fill what you know, leave uncertain details blank, mark intentionally irrelevant fields N/A, and expand into Full View when you need the deeper production controls.
The V5 Open Beta primarily organizes character data and constructs detailed prompts, references, continuity packages, story material, and production assets for the image and video tools you already use. Core local features do not depend on server-paid generation.
The proposed Pro price is $8.99 USD per month. Forge Free remains $0. Annual pricing is not yet announced. V5 Open Beta billing is disabled and Pro Preview does not create a subscription.
Yes. The proposed Free plan includes original characters, core prompt construction, comic-cover briefs, modern panel layouts, selected optional borders and SFX, basic writing and ready-to-run one-shot RPG tools. Pro expands depth, formats, advanced settings and long-term production management rather than making creativity itself inaccessible.
No. The product policy is to preserve locally saved characters and manual backup/export access for Free users, regardless of Pro plan changes. Browser storage limits still apply, so maintain your own backup files.
No. During V5 Open Beta, Pro Preview is available without billing. The proposed public-launch split reserves 28 core production starters for Free and unlocks the complete 99-template catalog with Pro. The final entitlement switches are still being developed and reviewed.
No. Cloud accounts, synchronization, hosted sharing and paid billing are not live. Any later cloud functionality must be separately announced and tested. Neither Free nor Pro promises included third-party AI subscriptions, image or video credits, or one-click printing and crowdfunding publication.
Open Professional Production Template Workshop from Story Studio, the dashboard or Help. Choose a starter, enter a project title and creative goal, optionally select a model profile and saved-character canon, then build, review, copy or download the editable prompt. These 99 production starters are distinct from the character-template collection.
Loriginary can draft cover briefs with title, issue number, credits, prices, QR and logo placements, and page briefs with diagonal, overlapping, inset, borderless and other contemporary panel structures. Final artwork generation, accurate editable lettering, real QR/barcode production, page assembly and proofing must still be done in appropriate external tools. The Production Template Workshop does not create print-ready books automatically.
Yes, when using the Production Template Workshop on the same browser origin. Open Saved-character canon and explicitly select the characters you want to include. This reads limited local continuity fields only; it does not alter their Library records. Review the resulting campaign mechanics and continuity before using them.
It includes five original quick adventure seeds and templates for one-shots, session planning, encounters and character-linked campaigns. It drafts system-neutral material for the GM to tailor; it does not enforce complete rules for every RPG automatically.
Yes, as editable checklists and briefs. The templates cover crowdfunding budgets, rewards, shipping, launch pages, web publishing and printer handoff. They do not connect to Kickstarter, publish web episodes, verify fees, or guarantee print specifications. Check the actual current requirements of each platform, manufacturer and printer.
No. Comic covers are fully supported, but a decorative border is never required. In the optional Frame & SFX Studio, "No frame" is the default. You can export removable vector frames for covers, interior pages, character/RPG sheets and promotional work. Border choice does not imply any forced cover trade dress.
Yes, as a Open Beta preview. Choose from 20 lettering treatments including impact, energy, mechanical, water, horror, magic, motion and deliberate silence. In the Comic Page Layout Lab, select from 18 layout families, get optional story-rhythm suggestions, edit polygon coordinates, and export SVG/JSON blueprints. These exports require professional lettering and print review before publishing.
No. The 54-rule registry is present, and a small context-matched selection of editorial checks can be included in Template Workshop drafts. Turn off the checkbox to omit them. The rules do not automatically change Prompt Studio or claim to verify model capabilities. Authoritative image references and the 40/60 influence system remain active requirements where applicable.
Text and image attachments are separate. Export the approved references from Prompt Studio and attach them explicitly in the external generator. The Production Template Workshop never claims that copying its text sends reference-image files.
Yes, in the Open Beta preview. Open Printable Card Studio from Card Forge. Export your front/back card PNGs, load them into the Studio, select physical size and bleed, and download individual images or print a multi-card home sheet via your browser's Print / Save as PDF dialog. Set printing to 100% actual size. Check final printer specifications and printed proofs before selling anything.
Use the marketing-back inputs for your title, website and call to action. Generate a working QR code image in your preferred trusted tool and upload it; Loriginary displays the exact uploaded graphic and does not invent a QR code. Scan-test the final printed sample with your phone.
No current provider affiliation is claimed. External printer links on the Open Beta preview are direct, non-affiliate links. If Loriginary enrolls in a partner program, affected links must disclose in plain language, next to the recommendation, that purchases may earn commissions. No physical orders are currently accepted by Loriginary.
No. Loriginary's visual-production rule is comic-book, graphic-novel, RPG illustration, cartoon, anime-influenced animation, animated-comic, and semi-realistic illustrated/animated output. The upper realism limit is a fully semi-realistic comic-book or animation treatment, not photography or live action.
Useful cinematography concepts can describe framing, perspective, depth, motion, tonal range, material response, and lighting behavior. Loriginary translates those mechanics into comic and animation language rather than using them to demand a literal photograph.
Prompt Studio turns the loaded character, selected references, output type, production goal, visual direction, and continuity locks into a production-ready prompt. It is designed to keep identity and canon separate from style and scene direction.
No. Inspirations are behind-the-scenes design inputs. Runtime prompts should use anonymous high-level descriptors and character-specific facts rather than printing creator names, source percentages, database categories, or internal weighting logic.
Believable anatomy, dimensional materials, sophisticated light and depth, individualized faces, and grounded physics while the final image still clearly belongs to illustration, comics, RPG art, or animation. It is not a disguised photograph.
Identity can include specific facial architecture, asymmetry, distinguishing marks, hair behavior, build, proportions, wardrobe construction, and reference-image authority. Those anchors persist across views and scenes instead of allowing every person to collapse toward the same default face.
References establish who the character is. They can lock face, body proportions, costume geometry, symbols, color placement, hairstyle, markings, equipment, civilian identity, alternate forms, and other continuity-critical details.
No. Prompt Studio reference selection is prompt-only. Removing or excluding a reference from the current generation does not delete the saved Library image.
Yes. The reference workflow supports separate-file ZIP packaging and combined reference montages so the same character package can be moved into external generation tools without rebuilding the identity set every time.
The storyboard is treated as a container of chronological keyframes, not as something that should appear onscreen. Each panel becomes a full-frame scene reference, while the animation system reconstructs the missing motion, cuts, object states, character actions, and continuity between panels.
Loriginary's animation logic tracks identity, wardrobe, props, object ownership, damage, wetness, environment state, geography, screen direction, lighting direction, and cause-and-effect across beats. Changes persist until the scene visibly changes them again.
Animated comics, cartoon and stylized shorts, anime-influenced sequences, semi-realistic animation, character scenes, action sequences, trailers, social shorts, storyboards-to-video, music-video concepts, and other non-live-action character production.
Small physical behaviors make animation feel alive and consistent. The system uses restrained micro-behavior, acceleration and deceleration, follow-through, cloth settling, hair lag, eye-line changes, and body weight to reduce floating or mechanically frozen motion.
Yes. Short-form direction prioritizes an immediate first-second visual hook, mobile-readable silhouettes and faces, fast escalation around one central idea, and a clear payoff, reversal, punchline, cliffhanger, or loop at the end.
Yes. A diagnostic mode can isolate one primary failure target such as identity, object permanence, physics, dialogue timing, reflections, occlusion recovery, or camera continuity, then plant a visible pass/fail tell so the result teaches you something instead of merely looking complicated.
The Unstoppable Heroes Universe is Loriginary's flagship built-in universe example. Its twelve Realms carry their own canon context, themes, visual direction, story guidance, and character-development rules while remaining connected to one larger universe.
Yes. Loriginary maintains a neutral Character Core and can project the character into compatible RPG systems without replacing the master identity. Multiple system builds can remain linked to the same character.
Story Studio keeps story planning tied to character canon. It can support issue and scene planning, arcs, campaign material, continuity-aware prompts, video beats, storyboard logic, unresolved problems, and other narrative work around the same master record.
The V5 Open Beta is local-first. Browser storage, recovery systems, and optional permanent-folder saves protect your work locally unless you deliberately export it or use a future cloud feature.
It connects a permanent folder so character autosaves can update real .loriginary files on disk and explicit saves can create rolling history. Browser recovery remains useful, but the disk copy is the durable version outside site storage.
Large character and reference libraries can make deep recovery scans expensive. UX25 keeps whole-Library scans off the visible startup path. The active character first restores its reference slots from the automatic Browser Recovery Vault; deeper disk/library recovery is secondary and can continue later.
Disk permission and data synchronization are separate jobs. The native chooser opens directly from your click. Once permission is granted, the disk mirror is marked connected immediately; whole-Library protection can continue in the background. Reference images do not wait for this because the Browser Recovery Vault is the automatic first recovery source.
Reference images should reconnect automatically from the Browser Recovery Vault without requiring the disk folder. The optional Permanent Save Folder reconnects automatically when Chrome still grants its stored handle permission. If Chrome changes that permission to Ask, browser security requires a real user gesture before disk access can be renewed. UX25 uses your next normal click or keypress in Loriginary to request permission for the already-remembered folder, so you do not normally need to browse back to it. Reference images reconnect independently from the Browser Recovery Vault and do not wait for disk access.
It downloads the imported/private Prompt Intelligence rules and generator recipes. Use it to back up or move your prompt-knowledge layer between browsers. It does not contain your characters, reference images, saved story documents, or generated prompts.
Yes. Images & References provides Open Image, Download Image, and Rename actions, including Character Sheet / Visual Bible and Variant reference images. Clicking a saved preview also opens the larger viewer.
Prompt Studio is a temporary generation pack. Character, Civilian, Character Sheet(s), All, and Variants can be selected independently, while Upload / Replace / Remove / Restore changes only that prompt pack. The saved Library image remains intact.
Yes. In the current Beta, RPG sheet prompts must carry the selected system's statistics and game-facing values, or the explicitly selected writable-blank version for mutable values. The visual design cannot silently drop the actual RPG data.
It is an interactive print-layout prototype for comic covers, comic pages, character sheets, and cards. You can choose dimensions, add named placeholders such as title, issue number, price, QR code, logos, Realm logo, tagline, image areas, and custom fields, then move/resize them, lock the layout, save a template, export it, or print the template preview.
Yes. GM Random Adventure can generate a local one-shot / dungeon seed with an objective, pressure, location, encounters, twist, reward, and final threat, using the current character/Realm context when available. It is a starting framework for the GM to edit, not an invisible replacement for the GM.
Yes. Song / Trailer Music Lab builds an original-song brief with purpose, genre, mood, instruments, duration, lyrical subject, and continuity notes, then produces a copyable prompt for an LLM plus a music service such as Mureka or Suno. It is for original lyrics and direction, not copying existing song lyrics.
In the current Beta, Loriginary includes a Tabletop Beta prototype with character seats, GM story material, camera/microphone preview, dice, local chat, session export, and experimental manual browser-to-browser peer linking. Hosted rooms, account-based invitations, server signaling, and larger multiplayer sessions remain later infrastructure work.
QA Lab now has two levels. The Regression Sweep performs the traditional deterministic checks. The Autonomous Beta Tester can run Smoke, Full, Character Factory, RPG Factory, Reference Stress, Story Factory, Chaos, and Burn-In passes using only local browser code. A separate free Playwright runner is included for deeper real-Chromium automation on your own PC.
No paid API is required. The in-browser tester is local and the packaged Playwright runner is open-source. It deliberately does not send hundreds of prompts to paid image/video services. Those services remain manual validation targets rather than something the QA bot is allowed to bankrupt you with.
UX25 uses grouped, content-width navigation with grouped menus: Character Creation, Story & Production, Role-Playing Games, Library & Collect, UHU, and Help. Help contains Help Center, Getting Started, FAQ, Tutorials, QA Lab, and Plans. Character Creation contains the full character-section workflow plus RPG Converter and Prompt Studio.
An inherited flex-growth rule let the Dashboard button expand while the grouped navigation labels were squeezed into the remaining width. UX25 removes that flex growth, gives every top-level item the same readable typography, keeps button widths content-driven, and uses deliberate two-line labels for the longer groups instead of microscopic automatic word wrapping.
Copy Full Prompt copies exactly what is visible in the full Prompt Studio preview. UX25 binds the action again after every Prompt Studio render, provides a fallback when the modern Clipboard API is blocked, and changes the button text to show COPIED or COPY BLOCKED so the action can no longer fail silently.
The UX24 autonomous RPG tests exposed a code-path bug where RPG prompt compilation referenced STAT_PROFILES without the required data namespace. UX25 uses the namespaced RPG/stat tables and makes the Beta Tester report the exact primary error rather than treating every downstream prompt check as an unrelated failure.
The V5 Card Forge preview now has a full-width Invincer/Sunburn banner, a Card Designs gallery, a live front/back builder, illustrated style selectors, and a Merch Mockup Studio. You must deliberately select a saved character or an example. Change rarity, finish, and set name in the builder, then choose a template, save the card locally, or export the artwork. The merch tabs switch between Apparel, Collector Print, Sticker, and Phone Case mockups. Product ordering, a marketplace, and public collection sharing are not active during V5 Open Beta. Advanced card/merch workflows are proposed for Pro, while basic card samples remain available in Free.
The product is still actively being built and tested. Local creation is usable, while cloud accounts, billing, public publishing, and some Pro workflows remain planned or previewed rather than pretending unfinished infrastructure is magically complete.
Not yet in V5 Open Beta. Community rules, reporting, copyright handling, moderation, and publishing controls are intended to be in place before public character publishing is enabled.
The Free tier is intended for basic characters, covers, simple scenes and short premises. Complete comic-issue scripts, detailed panel-by-panel writing, and series development are Pro tools. All Kickstarter and crowdfunding campaign templates, budgeting, rewards, promotion and fulfillment planning are Pro-only. Pro is proposed at $8.99/month or $89.99/year paid up front. V5 Open Beta Pro Preview remains free during testing; payments are not enabled.
Yes. Choose a short 10-minute creator mission with no application. The longer 45-minute V5 Open Beta test remains available for detailed reports. Explore AI Model & Partner Directory for current external options. All partner links are currently direct, non-affiliate links, and paid generation always occurs outside Loriginary.
